I made this because I had a comment in my ask box the other day from an unexpected source which threw me off-guard. I’m not used to such comments beyond ‘I like your stuff’, likes, or other simple blurbs like that - on any platform. I also see the community this place can bring out, and how sensitive artists and other users/artisans can be. A little pick-me-up appreciation can really brighten the mood and one’s day.
People easily forget that crafting art, story, or other self-made posts is an otherwise thankless act regardless of who they are including in it (just because I draw someone doesn’t mean we are BFFs or have even spoken all that much to each other, in some kind of clique) and others can forget easily that these things take time and effort and that it all comes down to the creator’s passion. Posting can often begin to feel an unwanted obligation, especially when you become depressed and have thoughts that you might let your followers down. I think appreciation needs to be given more often, and not in a way where it’s just taken as ‘inflating the ego’.
On the flip side, if you are the type that watches watchers that mainly reblog, tell them how much you appreciate that they like your work, and help promote it, etc.
Even if you do or don’t reblog, don’t feel restricted to just the ‘person above’.
Share the love.
(ps. kind of sad we need an excuse to do such a thing, but it’s so easy to forget or think that they get these comments all the time. Hopefully this will become more of an active thing amongst the community)

On other news… Should I make a mod blog? I kinda feel silly of putting other stuff on my request blog but dont think its a big deal because im not this famous or whatever…

Also, I’m closing to my finals, I’ll lower updates from the daily two to one. (and, well… holidays and weekends are still very hard for me to keep updating)
